Snow plows and Barn Cats

My good friend Chris Anderson stopped by this afternoon when we weren't around to chat. I've just returned from a funeral out in the state of Oregon, and discovered on my return that not only was I way behind at work, but that I'd brought back with me a nasty cold. The cold made it difficult to get much of anything done, so I've been recuperating (read: slacking).

Chris noticed that our driveway had not been dealt with since the snow from Monday, so he lowered his plow, and cleaned us up.
Do we have a contract with him? Does he expect anything in return? No. He's just a genuinely nice guy. He's always been the first in line to help out. I really appreciate that. It's a rare quality these days.

Our missing barn cat came back tonight!! He's been on a long adventure lasting about two weeks or so. I really thought something had happened to him, but I think he's just found another barn with better food. He certainly wasn't skinny, and he's not that good of a hunter. If any of you have a tan tabby hanging around (ok....not like that just described 30000 cats in the area), and have been feeding him Filet Mignon or something, let me know.

I have invites out to about 15 people from around the area to start posting. I really hope they take me up on the idea. I've already had several comments and e-mail from people around the country who've read about this blog on my personal site, and can't wait to start reading.
